44 000 children's stories online. You need to pay a one-off fee of $7 US for the ability to post to the site for a lifetime. You can view published work by children and submit your own. The site has recently had a makeover and is a lot less cluttered. The search works well but I'd still like a 'browse' option. Schools can set up pages for each contributer at their school.

Find stories written in the style of well known books. Eg read original stories that could have been in Harry Potter (like the story of how his parents fell in love). Write reviews for the chapters. Submit your own writing. This is not a moderated website so content may need to be checked by a teacher beforehand. I like the cross over stories eg Buffy the vampire slayer in Hogworts. Definitely for older children.
